The Insitituto de Telecomunicações (IT) is a private, not-for-profit organisation, of public interest, a partnership of five institutions with experience and traditions in research and development in the field of Telecommunications:
Instituto Superior Técnico (IST). Universidade de Aveiro (UA). Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade de Coimbra (FCTUC). Portugal Telecom Inovação, S.A. (PTIn). Siemens, S.A.
IT mission is to create and disseminate scientific knowledge in the field of telecommunications. IT is actively involved in fundamental and applied research in telecommunications both at national and international level. Simultaneously it is committed to foster higher education and training, by hosting and tutoring graduate and postgraduate students.
