Objectives

Specify the MAC of the new SARDANA network and adapt current standards to extended PON (range > 100km).

Design the packet exchange and signal monitoring to implement the resilience mechanism.

Theoretically evaluate the network performance and by implementing a network simulator, to simulate and analyse the impact of long distance links in upstream MAC.

Design, implement and validate the impact of deploying different services on the network.
